"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!

If you want to try it again I'd be glad to help you along with it. Just pick out a photo you want to draw and email me a copy of it. I'll do the grid on it and email it back. Then I'll draw it along with you, and we'll do a step by step procedure. I'll work with you as you progress throught the outline. Then I'll help you with the shading and details. I'll send you my email address in a private note.
